Coming from the diaspora, I fell for the energy of Cotonou. But when I looked for somewhere to stay, I ran into the same gap every time: genuinely comfortable, reliable apartments designed for discerning travelers — they simply didn't exist.
So I created what I wished I'd found. Maison Ayaba is a collection of apartments in Fidjrossè — a calm neighborhood, 10 minutes from the beach and 20 from the airport. For 1 to 6 guests, each one is fully equipped so you don't have to think about a thing: air conditioning in every room, an inverter that keeps the WiFi on during outages, a smart lock so you arrive at your own pace.
This isn't an improvised Airbnb: an on-site team, written procedures, a welcome designed like a hotel's. And that changes everything for your stay.

From mattress quality to WiFi speed to the type of coffee maker — everything is designed so you don't have to think about it.
Total transparency
Yes, there are power outages in Cotonou. The inverter keeps WiFi running so you can work, but lights and AC stop until power returns. I'd rather tell you things as they are.
